Description : The Central Modoc River Center (CMRC) established in 2003 and obtained its non-profit status in 2004. The local community refers to it as ‘The River Center.’ The River Center operates a modest but impressive interpretive facility. The River Center manages the Pit River Watershed Adoption Project, participates in several annual community-wide events, and provides adult education activities, K-12 classroom instruction, workshops, and other programs that increase watershed education in the community.
