THE VISION

Sacramento River Discovery Center is dedicated to a healthy Sacramento River watershed
that provides an abundant supply of clean water for future generations.
 
MISSION


The Sacramento River Discovery Center will use educational displays and exhibits, hands-on instructional programs, watershed rehabilitation opportunities and other means to enhance the public's understanding, appreciation, wise use, and stewardship of resources that make up the Sacramento River watershed. The Sacramento River Discovery Center is about people working together to make the world a better place, about optimizing partnerships to maximize return on investments, and about addressing needs of education, business, and local and regional environments in a colloborative endeavor. 48 education, government, and private groups provide the foundation for the synergy of this effort.
 
Camp Discovery  

Day Camping and Overnight Outdoor Education Camp

Students can enjoy an over night camping experience at Camp Discovery .

 

Camps are available for family vacations as well as summer group camps.

 

Specialized services are available by prior arrangement.

 

Campground Cost: $75 a day $150 per night. To schedule a Camp Discover site call the USFS at (530)527-1196. Campsites fill up quickly so call early for reservations.

 

Facilities:

Cabins with bunks, to sleep 48

Tent camping for additional campers up to 100

Showers/Restrooms

Covered eating and cooking area

Amphitheater/Campfire area
