The Riverside Cottage is a beautiful,  fully-furnished, two bedroom, two bath luxury vacation rental on the Feather River in Oroville, CA

 

It is perched on a rise above the river with easy, on property,  access to the river.  Guests are welcome to bring kayaks, canoes or inner-tubes and launch their river-borne adventures from our shoreline. Swim and fish from the property or explore the miles of open access to the river  in the  nearby parks including the Oroville Wildlife Area.

 
A wall of windows in the Great Room provides fantastic views. This room also has a fireplace and a wide screen TV on cable with a DVD.
 
 
There are two Queen bedrooms each with a separate bath. In addition there is a queen hide-a-bed couch in front of the fireplace and a single hide-a-bed in the Music Room   so, the Cottage has sleeping space for 7.
 
It has central heating and air and high speed wireless DSL The cottage is self-catering: with modern kitchen and front-loading washer and dryer.
 
A redwood deck with an umbrella table and gas bar-b-que supports al-fresco dining.
        Guests can stroll the extensive private waterfront, swim, fish, gold panning, or simply relax on one of the decks or the floating dock.

        Cedar and pine rooms with picture windows blend with the natural setting of the river, wide variety of trees shading the acres of lawn and waterfront.

The Great Room has a cathedral ceiling and a wall windows with a sliding glass door out to the lawn and river beyond.

The dining table in the Great Room provides and extraordinary dining experience with incredible views of the river.

Natural vignettes play out continuously just beyond the window and two wing-back chairs provide perfect perches for nature observers as well as wonderful natural light for readers.

A gas fire in a beautiful sandstone fireplace keeps the great room cozy and romantic in the evening or on rainy days.

A queen-size convertible sofa in front of the fireplace is your personal theatre for viewing the widescreen TV with cable and DVD

Two ceiling fans and the screened sliding glass door in the great room provide comfortable circulation and natural cooling during most of the year, central heating and air conditioning are also available.

 A glass door leads from the great room to the deck.

A beautiful large redwood deck is accessible from the great room or garden bedroom. The Deck provides perhaps  the best riverside experience. Cool river breezes to compliment the natural beauty of the view.  Al fresco dining is supported with an umbrella table and chairs and a large gas Bar-B-Q.

The Garden Bedroom has a queen size four poster bed,  a walk-in closet and an attached 1/2 bath with a showers.

Wonderful views of the river and natural light come through a large window and French doors out to the deck.
Riverside Cottage Costs: The cost of the Cottage is generally: $300.00/ night, $500.00/weekend, $1000.00 for 5 day mid-week stay and $1200.00 for a full 7 day week. Higher rates and 2 or three night minimum stays may be in effect for holidays and extended weekends
Occupancy and Guests: The maximum occupancy of the Cottage is six adults.  One or two more might be squeezed in but there would be an additional charge of 50.00 per day, per person. Generally, the Cottage facilities can only be used by registered guests.  Any guests of the registered guests must have prior approval of the owner.

Check in-Check out:

Check in time is between 3PM and 5PM on your day of arrival.  Check out is 12:00 noon on the day you leave.  This is largely driven by the schedule of the housekeepers and there could be some latitude based on the situation that day so, feel free to inquire about an adjustment if you need it.

Payment Policy:

Payment will preferentially be made by credit card.  Arrangement for payment by  check or cash must be made  in advance.   A $500.00 refundable deposit is necessary to reserve the cottage.   This deposit becomes your cleaning and damage deposit at  your check in.   This means that at check in,  you will  pay the full amount to cover your stay including a 6 %  county hotel tax.    Your cleaning/damage  deposit minus any assessed charges  will be normally be refunded to you within a week after  your departure .     
Cancellation Policy:

You can cancel your reservation up to 2 weeks before your arrival date and receive a full refund of your deposit minus  a $20.00 processing fee.   If you cancel within two weeks of your reserved date there is no refund due.
