About Wendel
One of the better vacationing towns in the county of Lassen is the town called Wendel California. it is a beautiful location that has all of the physical characteristics of what makes the Shasta-Cascade area so nice. The rich railroad history as well as the fantastic Gold Rush era makes this a prime location for any family trip and getaway. Wendel has a few fine places to grab a meal at yet it is more known as a place to get out into the natural environment and really have a look for you. The cool mountain breezes that roll in daily from the Sierra-Nevada’s make for a perfect climate especially on those hot summer days. The winters can be a bit on the down right cold side but that’s fine since the seasons are what makes the entire trip well worth the expense and time. A trip to the town of Wendel is really a great choice for the entire family.
Honey Lake is the prettiest and most serene lake you will see for quite some miles and is one of the best places to take a dip when the thermometer reads 100 in Wendel CA! The lake offers a plethora of water activities and will surely satisfy the angler in the families craving to drop a line and hopefully get a bite. There are a few nice places to sleep over for a night or two in the general area and if there is nothing available then the camping areas are abundant and always have a space for you. The kids can really have a fun and safe time in the town and the lake only makes that better as long as they can swim! Of course if they cannot then it is the trail for them with mom and dad! The family that chooses to stay a night or two in the town of Wendel California will not regret it for one second.
