About Etna
When you first arrive into the town of Etna California you can see why the people here are always exuberantly happy. The reason for this is due to the natural beauty of the Siskiyou County location. Rolling hills and a deep rich and beautifully green forest woodland is what Etna is all about. The town has a very interesting history as it started out as a flour mill know as the Ruff and Ready Mill in 1855. After devastating floods from the nearby Etna River destroyed the village the town’s people started to populate and grow around the Ruff and Ready Mill. Eventually, the town was named Etna in 1940 and has been a wondrous vacation town ever since. Etna CA is a look back into the history of Northern California as it used to be. The family vacation that is started out right here in Etna California will be the one they recall for a very long time.
