The city of nearly 7,000 people host a beautiful downtown inter- modal station, which opened in 1998, and is full of bustling activity from the Amtrak Motor Coaches that speed on through. The town offers the weary visitor a good place to rest and catch their wind, and also grab a good bite to eat at one of the many downtown restaurants. Your visit to Corning CA will not be complete unless you hike the surrounding foot hills that the area is well known for and even try your luck in the Sacramento River for some great salmon fishing.
