About Callahan
Callahan California is a city in the Shasta-Cascade region of Northern California. Although the town doesn’t have any trains or bus stops it is still so easy to get there straight from Sacramento or even from San Francisco. Being that it is a small California town the best way to get around is by foot. This way, you do not miss the Callahan Emporium Store and Bar or the Mount Bolliver Grange Hall which are two of the most historic sites in the town. Nearby is the Sugar Creek Ranch which has a private trout fishery where for a small fee you can catch your own fish! Located at the confluence of the Scott River and Sugar Creek waterways, the town of Callahan offers many opportunities for boating, fishing, ad general site seeing in the lovely Northern California climate.
The town of Callahan California comes alive at night with a vibrant musical scene and has many music festivals that are populated by the local artists. The aforementioned Mount Bolliver Grange Hall hosts holiday dinners and celebrations periodically so make sure you plan the itinerary well. Any trip to this town will not be complete without bellying up to the bar and grabbing a drink at the Callahan Emporium Store and Bar.
