Stirling City California Information

A trip to Stirling City CA brings to mind silver, but do not be fooled by the sound of this wonderful Northern California town, it was gold not silver that grew this town from the beautiful adobe soil all the way to the wonderful vacation spot it is today. Stirling City is a small community located just east of Teco on the paradise ridge. This town was a vibrant lumber mill town beginning in the early 1900's by the Diamond Match Company which started the town off in the right direction. Visitors are welcome in this old lumber town and are treated as good as the beautiful Furs and Pines that dot the landscape. Stirling CA is a very small quaint town to visit in Northern California in the Shasta Cascade region and is considered to be one of the top vacation spots for any visitors.

One interesting thing about when you take a visit to Stirling City CA is the way the streets are named. All the streets are uniquely named after minerals and trees and are in the order of there hardness. The seven mineral streets are Diamond, Quartz, Granite, Lava, Slate, Mica, and Gypsum. The streets named after trees are Manzanita, Oak, Pine and Spruce. Very interesting right? A trip to Stirling City CA with its hilly roads and beautiful scenery would not be complete without seeing one of the most historic locations in all of Butte County; the Stirling City School House built in 1903. This is how most of the areas children became educated and learned how to read and write a very important site indeed.
